Neat looking snake, but.....

That is a really nice looking snake but I don't think it is really amelanistic. The brown spotting/blotches are evidence that some melanin is being produced.



It could be some sort of tyrosinase positive albino (something that would be hard to prove without extensive chemical testing) or some sort of other form of hypomelanism.



I hope it turns out to breed true as it is a really neat snake.



Also, you might try and load your pics onto the kingsnake.com photo gallery before posting. The server they are on appears to be very slow. It took over a minute to load the 95KB picture on my fast connection. Anyone with a dial-up connection would take 5-10 minutes and wouldn't be able to see this cool animal.
