Many animals have a hard time "calming" down after a feeding response is triggered, its best to leave them alone while they are feeding. If you feed in a seperate container (which is what it looks like your doing) just let him hang out there for awhile afterwords. Im betting if you give him a half hour after he eats hell be just fine.
