At what age can SALMON MALES breed?

I just picked up a male salmon boa (Ihle line).I purchased him as a yearling.As a matter of fact he just made a year last month.I don't want to push or overfeed him.I just wanted to know at what age a male salmon was able to breed?I was thinking maybe 3 1/2 years old? Thank You.Your comments are appreciated. Ash Lopez
