I don't know about a Dum but I had an interesting episode with my Colombian (close to 8') a couple months ago...

I was reaching in to get him out and he grabbed me on the inside of my forearm and instantly took a wrap. So here I am standing on a stool with my arms down an 18 inch deep cage with a snake as big around as my upper arm chewing on my forearm, my other hand trying to keep him from taking more wraps.

It took about 2 minutes to get him off but it felt like an hour. Bled for hours and hurt like hell.

Brings up a question I've been trying get answered: will a spirt of whiskey in the mouth really cause a release? I've heard it but haven't tried it and am not certain if it will really work. Anyone tried it or seen it tried?
