Septra? Isn't that Tribrissen?

I'm not familiar with Septra, but I was under the impression it is the same as SMZ...AKA veterinary brand Tribrissen as well as Bactrin for the human equivalent. Is it the same drug? If so many BRB's have died, did anyone do a culture and sensitivity?...what were the results? It's not making sense to my limited mind. Could you please explain the specifics futher?
