there could be several reasons.
The presence of the mouse may have triggered a feeding response even if she wasn't hungry.
After her initial response (constrict prey) she may have decided she wasn't hungry.
She could be about ready to go into shed.
The prey item may have been a little larger then she was used to.
I wouldn't be very worried about it at this time.
Just wait until next week and try again.
If she is going into shed it will be obvious in a few days. ----- Corn snakes and rat snakes..No one can have just one.
