I'm using Exoterra's Heat Wave undertank heater attached to a thermostat on the bottom outside of the enclosure. Heats the warm end of the set-up quite well. However, I do use the optional heat shroud for an incandescent lamp, this raises the day temps and provides a photoperiod. I also use full spectrum fluorescent lighting on the back- crazy, I know. You may run into problems meeting the required ambient temps without a heat lamp. Unless you live in a warmer area of the country or if the room is heat controlled.

Good luck-
