Well, I figured I would share this story with you guys. I was not planning on breeding anything this year, but it looks like now, that I have no choice. My biggest female, who is better than 11ft and 80pds " Essiquibo Guyana " has only been in captivity for a few months and under normal circumstances, I would NEVER consider trying to breed her for at least a year or preferably two. She is the poster child for healthy and hearty Boas and yesterday, something kept telling me too put my largest male with her, " not to breed her " but to just see how she reacts and if there is any aggression. This male, is beautiful and has never shown ANY interest in breeding at all and I had pretty much chalked him up to be a dud instead of a stud. In less than 10 minutes after I put him in there with her yesterday morning, she stretched out and he started breeding her like a WILD MAN!! It has been non-stop and one copulation after another and now her pharomones have gotten every male in the colony loosing there minds!! Whatever, that secret code is that we have been trying to break for years, who knows! However, it is proof to me that; " No matter what time of year it is or wether the animal be captive or fresh import, when they are ready, they are ready! " Well, no ovulation yet and I do not get overly excited about anything much anymore, but this was a really neat situation and I will just let nature take its course.........Johnson Herp
