yeah, this guy sounds like he is full of it. My step-brother was in the exotic pet trade business longer than 10 or 15 years ago but chams were new to the market then and they were all wild caught. I agree, forget ANYTHING he has told you and listen to us - lol!! well, at least listen to some of us, read some sites and CURRENT books and then make informed decisions. Frankly, this forum is one of the best resources you will find.
