If you enjoy high maintenance and don't want an animal that you can hold than the Water Monitor is for you. If this is your first reptile than I wouldn't recommend a Water Monitor.



A Hypo is a basically the same as a Salmon from what I understand it's just a different line. If you want to read up on different morphs this very site has some good info.



Cage for an adult Boa should be at a minimum of 4'X 2'.



Most of my Boas I feed in their cage. If they come out like they are looking for food I will tap them gently on their nose with a roll of paper towels to let them know they aren't getting fed.



I use aspen shavings for my Boas. It is absorbent and it makes me think the Boas like it better but they probably could care less.



A little advice......do alot of research like you are doing now. Get your set-up dialed in before you make a purchase. There are alot of good sites for care information....check them out.



This is one of my favorite females. She is close to 7' and she is a Colombian. She is super sweet. Wouldn't harm a fly.
