The female came from Puppy Creek, the male from Ocean State. But they do have Ch. bloodlines and some decent names behind them, such as:Park Ave, Hilltop, Riverbend, & Big House. Of course, these are only the breeders names that I could understand, as there are several European names on their pedigrees I can't make heads or tails of.
I had hoped to show them, but, despite how physically nice the male is, his color would make it difficult in the ring. We chose him for his color. Most all Bordeaux we've seen are red to brown...He even came from two red parents. So, I am wondering if he is a dilute red...I was intrigued by his blonde color. I can't wait to breed him to see what he throws - to see if his coloration is co-dom, recessive, or what. The female's nose has grown a bit long to show right now, but as she is still young, I am hoping she will grow into it. If not, the male's real short nose should compensate in their puppies.
I love these guys. They are so mellow - they don't bounce off walls like our Boxers.
Currently we breed Boxers, but the Bordeaux fit our lifestyle much better (glad we discovered them), and when the female is large enough (next year), we will breed them. We are really excited about that. ----- StarlightSpecialties.com
