I've kept both milksnakes and kingsnakes very well with under the tank heaters, so I'd probably stay with that method. The substrate potentially getting into the tracks would be an issue as well as anything more than a 1/8" gap between the glass doors. I'd prefer a deeper terrarium as well.



The design rocks though!
