Luna just died today (posted above). I had her for almost 2 years and she had 4 infertile clutches in 12 months. They were tricky, but lots of $$ and vet trips and we managed. This came as a total surprise today and I am waiting to hear back from the vet to find out what happened.



Chams do have some requirements unlike geckos, bearded dragons and some other herps that are easier to keep. You got some bad advice from a store clerk. There should be a law against selling these in chain pet stores. They are very interesting creatures (chams, not store clerks ) and are rewarding in many ways; I will never regret the time I had with her, but I also understand your feelings about not wanting to have another cham. If you ever decide to in the future, I would suggest a male, from a good breeder (you can get some great recommendations here) and lots of research, too. If/when I get another it will not be a female.
