I've kept several peublans. All were super-shy hatchlings, but by the time they hit about one year all three were pretty tolerant of light handling, and awere coming out to cruise aorund their cages from time to time. Only one has continue to want to have his food hidden in order to eat, but even he will come out to explore at times. Mine seems to be slightly more sensitive to activity in the room around them (compared to my other milks), but only very slightly.
