Brandon, yes I recall talking to you. I do have a couple of babies right now but am waiting for them to get a bit bigger yet. The youngest is only three months old right now. The other seemed to be a runt but is catching up now since I have found that she loves small nightcrawlers and red wigglers. They have turned her into a little piggie!

Of the two I have only worked with the capras. From everything I have been told the armata is feistier and not particularly good for being handled. However, I just posted about the new pair I have from Malaysia and they are quite feisty too. I have had them a little more than a month now and they still display and hiss like crazy. The male tries to bite when I take him out. I’m sure he would if I gave him the chance! LOL!

So, if all of the MHDs are now coming from Malaysia and these are typical of the temperament then I would say it should be a matter of which you would prefer to work with! It is a bit early to decide if these guys will eventually calm down but they have shown no signs of it yet!

As for the KC show, no, I won’t be able to make it. I didn’t attend the spring show either. My girls just didn’t cooperate. The boys sure tried but alas, no eggs! I have one clutch cooking right now and they should have about a month left to go. They would be too young for the show and the two I have aren’t enough to justify the table fee. Hopefully they’ll produce for me this winter.

I will be in Omaha for the Midwest Herpetological Symposium. I have been asked to be a speaker so have committed to that. That will be at the Red Lion in Omaha October 17-19th. I will be there as a speaker only since I just don’t have the animals right now. When I was talking to Andrew from the NHS about the event last he said he could check into me getting an informational booth so there is a chance I may be at a table during the show. And of course if I’m going to be there anyway I have to at least see what all is there!

So, not dragons here, Chey is looking to get rid of her males though if you want an adult. I will keep you in mind for the babies and will try to let you know when I have some available.

Take care,

Marcia
