If you can get new new NEW born pinky mice they should be able to get one down. I've had them literaly "explode" the pinky trying to get it down with their tiny heads, but they do manage.
I have had newborns get down a small pinky, exploded...guts and all, as their first meal.
They certainly eat other things than baby lizards. Eastern milks are found in many regions where there are no native lizards.
If you can't get the pinkys to work, you can try a little trick I learned from Jeff Hardwick...cut off a tail from a f/t fuzzy mouse and very gently open the mouth and encourage it to swallow it. It's not quite force feeding, and they may suck it right down like spaghetti once it's in their mouth.
Do this every 3-4 days and they will imprint on the mouse smell and should eventually start taking small pinkies.
