Posted by: Ric Blair at Thu Jul 7 00:12:29 2005 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Ric Blair ] Got there last Thursday the 29th. Went to Del Rio. The temps at 2:00 in the morning were still at about 92 degrees. Stayed there one night. One female caught there the night after I left. Hunted around Alpine for a few nights. Nice temperatures. I believe 4 or 5 taken West of Alpine. 3 or 4 South at the 6 mile big hill. One about 18 miles south and one on the observatory road near the Indian lodge. Went to the Xmas for a couple of nights. Over ninety on the xmas until well after 1:00 AM. The River Road at 2:00 AM was still at 98. I caught nothing and saw little in the way of snakes. Still enjoyed the scenery and people. I brought back 3 alterna that were caught for me. They will fit well in my locality breeding group. Got home today on the 6th and after no sleep had to get everything ready for work tomorrow. It is going to be a long day. I will post some pictures of the 2 male West of town and the 18 mile south Alpine by this weekend. Ric Blair | ||
