>>Are there any records of graybands being caught in these localities? I am spending a few weeks on a ranch in leakey along the frio river and was curious if it was worth my time to try and hunt? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
There could be! You need to hunt there to find one there!
There is a reference for the Devil's Sinkhole which I'm trying to track down at this moment, which is right on top of 335, which cuts back and forth across the Edwards / Real county line.
Even if you don't find alterna, there are lots of Bairds rats, and lepidus are found in the county, so it's worth spending the time to hunt. If you find alterna in Real, it will be a new county record. Take lots of pics of the habitat and get a GPS reading on the locality.
Best
Joe
