Forget about alterna being ALTERNA for the moment and consider them to be any other nongame species to be harvested or hunted. As long as the annual yield is sustainable, as long as the take is biologically insignificant, which common sense dictates it is given the extremely limited access to habitat hunters have in Texas, one can do whatever one wishes to do with the snake. Does it piss me off when collections grow to a size that forces them to receive inadequate care - yeah it does, but IMO hunting regulations should be based on science which tends to lean towards objectivity, not morality which comes in a bunch of different colors | ||
