>>I found an alterna on the road in Lajitas in November. We were there for three days and saw several snakes including the alterna the first night, just before a front moved through. Not one snake the other two nights. We also saw a bairds out on a cut on 277 on the 26th of Dec. It was a warm sunny day and it was out sunning. The next day, we saw an atrox out on the road. If the conditions are right, who knows.

Thanks Rick,
There you have it. Sometimes Texas doesn't get much of a winter. Those would be good years to look. Other times it warms up considerably between fronts, and these are good times to be out looking. You won't find anything unless you are out looking!
Best
Joe
