RE: F1 or wild caught?

I was always under the impression that to be F1 you had to take a captive hatched baby and raise it to breed. I also thought that the F1 refered to captive bred generations. I believe in that instance it matters from where the first egg came from. The important issue is to be able to follow the lineage. You cannot do that using a already gravid wild caught snake that lays eggs. As you mentioned the female was bred in the wild.

Someone correct me if I am on the wrong track.
