Thanks April
Yea I deffinately dont think the older snake is a jungle, maybe one of last years jungle siblings but even at that not a jungle.
I agree they are very nice looking either way, gotta love boas. It does go to show how difficult it can be at times to make the call. I still have 6 more of the ones from Mark Millers litter to get pictures of. They are the most common looking ones of the litter. If you set them next to the others you can see a large difference, but does that make them a jungle, likely not.
Ive only seen a couple of jungles in snake myself. Ive seen many jungle siblings, and photos of actual jungles online. The characteristics can be difficult to nail down. That said I think the old saying "you can tell the jungles in the litter" is about 95% true. However as more and more people produce them that leaves alot of room for 5% errors to go one way or the other.
The better breeders/dealers are likely to error on the side of selling as common, rather then jungle. With this in mind, I think whenever you have a chance to get a female jungle sibling for a good deal, its likely not a bad move. If you get lucky on the 5% it would pay off nicely.
Sorry bout the rant ----- Mickey Hinkle
