Well you can try to save him, but you should be warned it will not be an easy road and mostly likely he will not survive. The best thing to do, if you are willing to give it a try, is to first get him in a properly set up cage. Since he is so weak you should help him eat. I suggest feeding him a kind of bug slurry. What you do is take some crickets/mealworms/ supers, any or all of the above and grind them up in a blender (yuck!)with a tablespoon of pedialite (help hidrate him) and some ensure. Get a little dropper and let him lick it from the dropper, to do this put a very tiny amout on his nose (this is if he doesnt start licking it on his own) and when he starts licking put the dropper near his toungue. Be careful not to get any in his nostrils. Feed him as much as he will drink. Also do this like twice a day or so. I don't claim to be any vet or expert but this has worked for me. Again the ultimate descision is up to you whether to try or put him to sleep.
One thing you need to do is get a fecal done on him as he may possible be carrying parasites. And also get a vet visit for him, but i recomend letting him get some strength back before taking him in, as it is very stressful.
