The Lesser Earless (Holbrookia) is still a recognized taxon but this is a young Fence Lizard (Sceloporus). Compare the two if you can. There are some superficial similarities. The lizard pictured in this thread looks definitive of a young Fence Lizard. Its scales are visibly course where as an Earless has smooth granular scales. You can also see this lizards ear openings and an earless has no real external openings. | ||
