Well for one he looks alittle small to be breeding yet..

1. What would I be getting into if breeding him? Just be prepared which basically means have a incubator, and a thermometer/hygrometer to regulate heat and humidity and alot more knowledge of the breeding process and incubation techniques..

2. Should be be bred to a fancy female or another generic BP? What are disadvantages and advantages of both? "Generic BP"?? I take it you mean another normal. Well if he was bred to a normal female you would produce all normal babies.. And if he is breed to a fancy normal female you will produce nicer quality normal ball pythons.. The only way to get a morph out of breeding him is breed him to something like a pastel female or such...

3. Should I not breed this guy since I have limited info on him? You need more info on breeding ball pythons all together. Check out some caresheets on the main page at kingsnake.com so you know what your doing.. You also need a large adult female to breed him to. And as I said before he maybe be about right age to breed but in my opinion to small.. Feed him up and get alot more info on balls then if you want try breeding him to a of age and wieght female....
