Pythons are some of the most efficient reptiles. I remember reading a summary of a journal article in Vivarium magazine that stated that pythons get more usuable energy from their food than most other reptiles. It just takes longer for them to have enough waste to eliminate as it does for other snakes. They just use most of the mouse, so there is not a lot to come out the other end. I also wish my dog was so efficient.
