No matter how close to the border they are they still have to file CITES and shipping over the border if the canadian where to go down and pick it up he then becomes the exporter and has to fill out his own CITES and that in the US is a 6 month wait and expensive. Most breeders who will ship to Canada have a minimum order of 1K - 3K anyway.
