awful, but true!
I'm in Canada and it's the same here, you CAN NOT get home insurance if you have reptiles (they say it's cuz of increased fire hazzard), AND, if you get the insurance and don't tell them about the reptiles and something happens like a fire or anything else, they WILL NOT PAY YOU when they find out about the reptiles!!!!
I often run across this problem because I rent, usually the landlord wants me to get insurance, but it's hard to explain to them that I just CAN'T! lol
So until insurance companies get their heads outta their butts, so to speak, we are stuck with no insurance.
