Here is a rescue that I got earlier this year that had some scale rot. It can get real bad and pretty easy to get rid of if you catch it early.
To treat - you have to clean the enclosure - if they are soaking you need to remove the water bowl - treat it with hydrogen peroxide or antibacterial wash and neosporin - keep them nice and dry they will heal and shed off in no time.
