Yearling Pinkskin from P&Js

Here is my pinkskin on steroids(lol). He changed from pink to to the color he is in the pic after a week of putting river sand in his tank(before that he has been in a bare tank for 1 year)I know he was eating the sand.I also took the sand back out after he turned this color. his diet has been= aquatic turtle pellets,shrimp,and canned corn. he don't seem to eat fish for some reason.
