Me personally, I feel that the morphs that have the most general market apeal are the pieds, albino, super pastel's and crosses with pastels, lucy's/ivory's, and crosses with the black balls. Yes that is a very broad market, but it's also very specific. The morphs that are further away from looking like normals will always command higher prices, even as they become common in breeder's collections. Some of the co-doms/dom's and recessives only vary slightly to the pet store buyer who doesn't notice the subtle differences of some of the het versions of alot of the co-doms. I am working so that in 5-6 yrs all my offspring will be either visuals of recessive or the super form of a co-dom. Maybe this isn't a realistic goal considering I'm working with all het's right now but if I can produce 15-30 babies a yr that will be bought by the average hobbyist. In my eyes that's much better than producing 40-60 mixed visuals and hets that i have to market to upcomming breeders. Hey look at it like this, have fun, buy what you can afford, breed what you have and you will have a great time turning a hobby into a great side income. Josh Hutto | ||
