If it werent for Ralph Davis....I dont think the term "Dinking" would be where it is today........

Its not a MAJOR player for the coolest ball award..........but to me........its pretty sweet........and its nice to see the fruits of my labor.

Back in 2002 I got this neat little female that had a lot of orange coloration & a lot of "blushing" much like a pastel or mojave does......

She has wicked Green eyes like a pastel too......

So I figured I'd raise her up and put her to a pastel to see what happens.........

Well.........much to my suprise.......I got 5 eggs in the clutch which resulted in 1 Pastel Cross, 3 Morphs & 1 normal. Just to identify them, I am calling them "Apricot" Balls since they have an apricot orange color to them.

Here is the clutch after hatching.

Here is a small belly shot of one of the Apricots next to the Pastels head......the apricot color wraps around into the belly of the snakes....which is interesting. It has a similar color to that of a ringer.

Here is the Apricot Pastel Jungle.......he has a very intense yellow coloration with an orange/pink hue to it.....the pattern also has a lot more blushing than I have seen in pastels.......not to mention a very strange pattern.....he has large patches of blushed out pattern......

Left side....

Right side....

Awesome color.....

And finally a head shot of the little boy........

Like I said..........It's no leucistic.......but its still exciting to produce something new and different.....no matter what it is. This is why I do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now to raise all of them up, breed them out and see if there is a "super" hiding in there somewhere.

Arent balls great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep Dinking!
