Hey i fixed a few things in here...

Welcome to the Hunters Guide...

Here you will find all the details you will need to seek out the Het Piebald Marker???

Q. What is a Het Piebald Marker?

GENETICS:

Unknown

Answer...

This is one of those guides I was talked into doing. The problem with this guide is that the "Marker" has not been proven to be definitive. I have seen many normals with the "Marker" trait. Will they turn out to be Het Piebalds? Who knows, but I am sure NOT ALL OF THEM WILL! (most likely most of them will not). I will say this though, if a breeder hatches out a clutch of Possible Het Piebalds they will keep the ones with the "Marker" traits. Also not all 100% Het Piebalds have the markers either. So in closing there has been no genetic proof about this trait... but if you want to find it anways here you are.

1. The "Marker" is shown in the GREEN circle. It is a black line that runs down BOTH sides of the stomach. Sometimes it is a short line and sometimes it will run all the way up the snakes body.

2. The stomach between these black lines is completely clear. This is shown with the RED circle. This animal is also a ringer which you can see the orange color on the stomach.

3. This is the same snake as #2 but here i am showing the Black "Marker" Lines in GREEN

4. Again, this is the other side of the same snake. "Marker" line shown in the GREEN circle.

5. This is the same snake as #1, showing the "Marker" trait in the GREEN circle.

There are many more variations and degrees of striping but it follows the same rules.

1. Black striping down BOTH sides

2. Clear belly between the stripes

I will say again that there has been no definitive proof that this is indeed a way to pick out Het Piebalds. In fact both of these animals are captive hatched babies from Africa I got in this year

Hope this helps
