There is always a benefit in captive bred snakes

I'm sure you already know what they are, or can find out with a little research. Captive bred is the way to go bar none!



If you do plan on acclimating a wild caught snake, there are a few theories on what is best.

1)sterile, but secure. Leave the snake alone in an opaque container, with a hide box, water dish, and newsprint. This allows quarantine conditions and easy monitoring.

2)natural vivaria. Wild caught snakes do far better in an enclosure that is spacious, and mimics their natural habitat. They will usually eat more readily in such an enclosure, however the benefits of quarantine are sometimes lost with this method.
