Looks completely healthy to me, though a little strange since it is missing half it's scales. Don't really think the absence of heat pits makes any difference. I don't think it's the scales themselves that sense heat, but an actual organ. The scales just form the pit to better funnel the heat it's sensing. I may be wrong but seem to recall reading something about it years ago. | ||
