A panther that is coloring up early doesn't necessarily mean it will have better color as a full blown adult. However, panther that colors up at a young age means it's off to a good start (as far as growth). The best panthers in a given clutch aren't always the first ones that color up, but by 5-6 months, you have a good idea which ones are going to be colored better than the brothers. If you're buying from a group of 3 months olds, all you should look for is size and health (active, no flaws and eating well). As far as females are concerned, it's the same thing. You can look for size and health, but a female that has pretty blue cheeks won't always make prettier babies than her healthy but ugly sister. ----- Tyler Stewart
