I also had a situation like this with my ~ 5 year old male. He had become just lazy it seemed and only moved around to bask and over to eat then back to bask but as soon as my female was big enough I tested the waters and put them together. At first he was kinda pissy which is to be expected and still to this day they have little spats here and there but as long as you keep there bellys full, you should be fine. After I put her in the cage and they got used to each other, he runs around everywhere! Chases crickets again (never EVER saw him do that.. he would sit and wait for them to walk by but now he goes after them) I was starting to get worried about the old boy at one point and time but I am so happy that once he got a new friend he turned into a baby dragon again! Its definately worth a try to house more then one, but you have to keep a CLOSE eye on them for a few weeks to make sure its going to work out. They can be fine one minute, and missing limbs the next so be careful and good luck!
