we'll i consider myself still a newbie owner myself ,so i'll tell you what i have experienced with my little guy.i feed him twice a day since he now about 8 inches (i got him he was around 7 inches)he eats 2-4 crikets each time .also make sure you powder your crickets (calcium, vitamins).i do mine every couple of days.i feed him in his tank but i take every thing out except him.I read on here some eat 20 or more a day.my guy doesnt,he still a youngin.too big of a cricket will result in impacting and i gave mine large ones up front (bad move) which resulted in his legs and arms twitching.i switched to small crickets and that helped tremendesly.my local petshop only carries small or large crickets.they say crickets no larger than the space between their eyes i beleive, also gut load your crickets, use uva bulb and uvb,i use some kind of nut shell that didnt work ,(impaction)
i swithed to newspaper for now.i hope this helps and my tips i beleive are right they are from advice i received here and reading books.
good luck
ROBERT
