Aberrant, is what my brain is – Abby Normal. Spotted is what your Thayeri is. Leopards are spotted (most anyway) so Leopard Thayeri is good except, Leopards are from Africa (or the Zoo) not Mexico like Thayeri. Jaguar’s are spotted and come from Mexico (amongst other places) so Jaguar makes since to me. I refer back to my first sentence about aberrance though. Anyway, “Jaguar” is “mo beta” than something boring like “aberrant”. If you cannot have fun with it what’s the point of doing it? I thought about “Pink Panther” too but they are not spotted (except as kittens, cubs, whatever they are).
By the way - WOW, we have to talk.
That same breeder talked to me at the IRBA show last year. He was looking for someone to take over his Thayeri project, a mix of spotted “JAGUAR” to almost patternless. He has been selectively breeding for lack of pattern. I told him I was interested but then he disappeared and I don’t remember his name. There is soooo much room for growth with Thayeri. It still P. O.’s me that Ruthveni were mixed with Thayeri to get albino, now when the pure Albino shows up (it will some day) it will be discounted as “impure”.
