Substrate - Peat Moss

I have been using Peat moss for a substrate for my 3 leopard geckos for about 18 months. I wet it an mash it down in the bottom of the cage. I haven't had really any ill results. Has anyone heard about peat moss causing impactionss or anything??? Thanx.
