I have found that these PH lowering products are designed to work over the long run. Like for fish tanks. You see as turtle keepers we completely or partialy change our water too often for these products to work. Your throwing your $ down the drain. The best advice I can offer is to use root ball systems or drift wood. These are natural hides and they do acidify your water PLUS they are FREE!
Over time they stop leaching(staining) your water and are your best bet.
