Instead of the nematodes and flukes that fish tend to come afflicted with, annelid worms can have protazoan overloads. Although worms seem to me to be a very common food item for Thamnophis (particularly young specimens) in two regions adjacent to the Mississippi River, it may come at a price depending on your worm source. Resultantly, even a very good food source can have its downsides. [ Hide Replies ]
