Coxi are pretty high strung snakes. One thing folks need to remember is that all of the Eurasian ratsnakes are from racer-like constrictors. Some are more racer-like than others, but they aren't the same as N. A. ratsnakes. One reason I like Dione's ratsnake so much is because they are more like N. A. ratsnakes.



I bought a pair of coxi a couple years ago in Daytona, but sold them last year. They are beautiful snakes and don't get very large, features I like, but one of them would bite me every time I picked it up. The other was much nicer. They were both quite quick though.



Another nice thing about the coxi is that they were very easy to raise here at Ratsnake Haven. We tend to keep our ambient temps cooler than most keepers and these snakes almost never failed to eat and grew quickly with no extra heat. They are pretty hardy and I would recommend them to someone not looking for a pet.



A very interesting species and worth the investment for the serious herper...TC.
