When they defecate, it takes on the sound of something exploding and they will, on many occasions, just spray it everywhere (which usually happens right after you clean their cage!). But, if you stay on top of it (which may require daily checking), they are no worse than anythng else; it only takes a few minutes to clean and if kept on something like aspen, is fairly manageable. But, I will say that I can't think of a more rewarding animal I have ever kept than working with indigos; they are magnificent animals and it is a true privilege to work with them. | ||
