In my opinion, Mexican Black kings are one of the best getula you could own. They are up there with Easterns & brooks in my book. I believe on average MBK's as babies are more calm and less likly to musk then cal kings, but keep in mind all snakes are individuals. I've had several MBK's the years, and they have all been a joy to keep, including my five foot plus monster I have now. Good luck.

hi i was wondering what everyone thought of the black mexican kingsnakes as pets and as a first time breeding project? are they pretty decent snakes? or are they hi strung like some of the cal kings? also i was thinking of buying a pair to breed? would this be a good breeding project or should i try something different? thnx all for any help
