Most hatchlings eat great, but they're bitey, flighty, and poop/musk quite a lot. My adults were a royal pain as babies and three are now over 4 foot long and are very easy to handle, and more trustworthy than many of my Kings. There's a lot of variety as far as colors go, and pricing reflects on that. Where are you located? Depending on where you live I may be able to recommend someone....your best bet would be to attend an expo/show and pic one in person. If that is not an option plenty of breeders will ship snakes, and since you're not intending to breed it you should be able to score a male for a decent price.
