You can order pinhead crickets or fruit flies online. I bought 1/4 size crickets from www.wormman.com a couple of weeks ago with great results--all live and shipped quickly. Crickets go out on Tuesdays, so if you place an order today it won't ship until Tuesday, but the gecko will be fine until then.
I'm guessing what you have is a Mediterranean Gecko, Hemidactylus turcicus. The young are usually more brightly colored than the adults, and all usually have banding on the tail.
I doubt it's a banded gecko if it was in your bathroom cabinet! I find Med Geckos all over my house in south TX--where are you?
