Sometimes they stay inside the egg for a day or two. They are getting nourishment from the yolk. This is not abnormal. Eventually they'll come out to face the cruel new world. There was a picture in last months "Reptiles" magazine about a snake (don't remember what kind) that didn't come out on it's own so the author finally helped it out and it was born without a head. It is best to let them emerge on their own. If they don't come out after a couple of days you can carefully help them out but be prepared for what you might find. [ Hide Replies ]
