He was actually a Conan/Spica bloodline while Carole's Diego was Conan/Shera. I don't think that had anything to do with the growth rate as Spica was a fast growing monster when smaller. My experience concurs that solo iguanas grow faster than when in groups. - provided they get lots of attention. Spica who was raised solitarily + was 36" in Nov. of her 2nd year, She continued to reach 41-1/2" by the next July, and then stopped growing for about 2 years. At 9yrs (last fall) She was 44"/20"SVL and about 15lbs. | ||
