Fyi...these animals are being held in KY by a friend of mine.
I hate to disspoint those who commented on the "find and release"
as I did with the first milk I caught on that site.

...but...I went right out to the same board and collected that same normal female a week after... when the hypo turned up. It was only 100 feet or so from where the hypo was found and I assume it's probably het / hypo.

I'm normally not a collector. But...in this case...well we are talking about bringing a new hypo species into the captive breeding population. Add to that the snakes were both found near an old barn. The owner of the property is burning the barn and surrounding land to build a house...driveway...etc. in the spring. We'll be re-locating every snake we can find.

These 2 milks, and hopefully a male, will be the beginning of a new line of captives, however.

I hope I haven't lost your respect now!
